Ministering to those of “The Troubles”

“If it be possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.” Romans 12:18

On April 27 2024, we (a dozen Jews and Christians) joined a nation wide prayer vigil for Israel and were able to put down a possible hateful Gaza protest in Cardiff.

The Cardiff police asked our small group to stand away from them fearing for our protection.
I told the police that we were here for their protection.
Even asking my dear wife to get me too as well, to which she replied “ I did but He knows what he is doing”.

As I gave out a peace offering of sweet palm dates to the shouting cursing Gaza protesters a man came out from the protesters who happened to be the leader of the protesters and I offered him my hand and some dates, he refused.
He asked why are you here?
To which I responded “ I am Jewish and we are brothers through our father Abraham, you are my brother from Ishmael and I am your brother from Issac and I’ve been to Abraham’s grave in Herbron, Israel where they as brothers buried him.
And He would have wanted us to live in peace together as brothers and be an example to our children.”

With that he shook my hand and and with his bull horn announced to the protesters “These are good people!”

We left in peace, rejoicing.
The Cardiff police came to me and said “We wish there were more people like you”
and have nicked named me the date pastor.

“If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭18‬

Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.
